Plan efficient door-to-door canvassing routes.

Starting a Walking Route

  1. Filter your list to the voters you want to visit (e.g., "Not Contacted" in a specific area)
  2. Tap "Walking Route" in the action menu
  3. Review the route - voters are ordered for efficient walking
  4. Tap "Start" to begin navigation

Route Optimization

The app optimizes your route to minimize walking distance. It considers:

For best results, filter to a small geographic area (one neighborhood) before creating a route.

During Your Route

Navigation

The route screen shows:

Recording Results

After each stop:

  1. Record the result (answered, not home, etc.)
  2. Tap "Next" to advance to the next stop
  3. Or tap "Skip" to move on without recording

Opening in Maps

Tap "Open in Maps" to get turn-by-turn directions to the current stop using Apple Maps or Google Maps.

Route Management

Pausing

Tap "Pause Route" to save your progress. You can resume later from where you left off.

Reordering

If you need to visit stops in a different order, tap and hold a stop to drag it to a new position.

Removing Stops

Swipe left on a stop to remove it from the route without deleting the voter.

Best Practices

Plan Your Territory

Create routes of 15-25 stops for a 2-3 hour canvassing session. Smaller routes are easier to complete.

Check the Weather

Walking routes are best for good weather days. Use phone canvassing when it's too hot, cold, or rainy.

Note Door Conditions

If no one's home, note the time in comments. Some neighborhoods are better at different times of day.
