Invite Codes New

Share QR codes to quickly recruit new volunteers to your canvassing team.

What are Invite Codes?

Invite codes provide a fast way to onboard new canvassers without manual admin approval. When someone signs up using your invite code, they're automatically approved and ready to start canvassing immediately.

Benefits

  • Instant onboarding - New volunteers can start immediately
  • Pre-configured access - Districts and cut lists are automatically assigned
  • Easy sharing - QR codes work at events, on flyers, or via text
  • Trackable - See who signed up with each code

Creating Invite Codes

Team Leads and Admins can create invite codes:

  1. Open the app and go to Settings
  2. Tap "Invite Codes" (or access via Admin Dashboard)
  3. Tap "Create Invite"
  4. Configure the invite:
    • Select which districts to grant access to
    • Optionally assign a specific cut list
    • Set maximum number of uses (1-1000)
    • Set an expiration date (optional)
  5. Tap "Create" to generate the code

Sharing QR Codes

Once you've created an invite, you can share it in several ways:

Show QR Code

Tap the QR code icon next to any invite to display a large, scannable QR code. Perfect for:

  • In-person events and meetups
  • Printed flyers and handouts
  • Presentations and training sessions

Tap "Copy" to copy the invite link to your clipboard. Share via:

  • Text message or email
  • Social media posts
  • Campaign newsletters

Share

Tap "Share" to open your device's share sheet and send directly to messaging apps, email, or social media.

How New Volunteers Sign Up

  1. Scan the QR code or tap the invite link
  2. Create an account with email, Google, or Apple
  3. Download the app if they haven't already
  4. Start canvassing - they're automatically approved!
New users receive the same district access and cut list assignment configured in the invite code.

Managing Invites

Viewing Usage

Each invite shows how many times it's been used. Tap an invite to see details about who signed up with it.

Disabling Invites

You can disable an invite at any time without deleting it. Disabled invites won't work for new signups but preserve the usage history.

Deleting Invites

Delete invites you no longer need. Users who already signed up keep their accounts.

Best Practices

Event-Specific Codes

Create separate invite codes for different events or recruitment drives. This helps you track which events bring in the most volunteers.

Limited Uses

For smaller events, set a reasonable maximum (like 20-50 uses) to prevent codes from being shared too widely.

Expiration Dates

Set expiration dates for time-sensitive campaigns. Expired codes automatically stop working.

Keep invite codes secure. Anyone with the link can create an account with your configured permissions.
