Connections

Manage voter-volunteer matches from the contact sync feature.

Overview

When volunteers sync their phone contacts, the system finds voters they know. The Connections page lets you:

The top of the page shows:

Making Assignments

When multiple volunteers know the same voter, you should assign one person to make contact. This prevents the voter from being contacted by multiple people.

  1. Click on a voter with multiple matches
  2. Review the volunteer options and their confidence levels
  3. Click Assign next to the best match
Prioritize "High" confidence matches where the first names match. These are most likely to be genuine connections.

Confidence Levels

Level Meaning Recommended Action
High First names match closely Assign with confidence
Medium Phone matched, names don't match May be family member - consider assigning
Low Voter marked Do Not Contact Do not assign

Best Practices

Prioritize High-Value Voters

Focus on assigning connections for voters with high vote counts (large property owners) first.

Respect Do Not Contact

If a voter is marked "Do Not Contact", don't assign their connection even if someone knows them.

Follow Up on Assignments

Check back periodically to see if assigned volunteers have made contact. Reassign if needed.
